Herbal chewing mix
1-2 teaspoons after each meal to build digestive fire and for a little savoury kick.
½ cup fennel seeds
1 cup sesame seeds
2 cups desiccated coconut
½ tsp turmeric
2 tsp cardamom powder
1 tbsp clove
1 tsp ginger powder
1 tsp salt
In a cast iron pan, roast fennel and sesame seeds until they turn light brown ( cover with a lid as the seeds will splatter)
Add coconut and roast for a few minutes until golden - stir constantly to prevent burning
Place the seed mix in a bowl and add the remaining ingredients; stir well.
Leave to cool before storing in the fridge.
